Meet Our Team
“I am fortunate to have what I believe, the best dental team in the state.”
– Dr. Chris Williams
Hi, my name is Maria and I have been in dentistry since my Army days as a young Private serving with the 90th Med Detachment in Stuttgart, Germany during Desert Storm. My philosophy even before the Army was, “Let no one outwork you today”.
After finishing my commitment to the Army, I continued to pursue my dental career while graduating from Western Kentucky University with a BA in Behavioral Science. I have been in all capacities as a dental professional, from lead dental assistant, team leader, office manager and then finally achieved a position as business partner in a phenomenal practice with Dr. Williams and Dr. Schiavone. The fast pace and the instant gratification of helping someone achieve a better quality of life through oral health has been the most satisfying to me as a person. Dental health is the base of ALL health because the mouth is the window to who you are as a person.
Here at Dr. Williams and Schiavone, we have the skills, academia, dedication and kindness to help all our patients achieve a healthy smile and healthy life. After 30 years in dentistry, I have worked in many dental practices and the one thing that I learned the most is you just can’t teach authenticity. Either you have it or you don’t. We are AUTHENTIC. We will treat you with our utmost kindness and respect. I have given my personal cell phone number to each and every patient for the last 12 years. You cannot bother me. I want you to know that you can contact us at any time.
In my free time, I love to hike (travel), walk and be with my family and friends. I have been blessed to be married for 29 years to my husband Keith and I have two ambitious married sons and one adorable grandson.
And my last favorite quote is, “Who you are, is who you are when no one is looking.”
Hi! I’m Judy Marks, the hygienist at Shively Family Dentistry. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist-RDH with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene Science, -BS. I have 25+ years’ experience in dentistry. I started out as a dental assistant at the University of Louisville Dental School. I enjoy helping patients learn how to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Watching children in this practice and then grow up and then bring their children here has been so exciting! I am grateful for this practice and I love the team that we have become here. We care for our patients like they were an extension of our own family. One of my hobbies is baking, and I enjoy baking and decorating cakes, cookies, pies and other tasty treats. I am so happy to be here!
Hello, I am Siasia. I’m originally from Washington state but due to being an “Army Brat” I moved to Kentucky in 2008, and I can honestly say the change of scenery was good for me. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, and spending time with my friends and family. I can’t remember a time when I was not interested in dentistry. Even as a young child, I was fascinated by teeth, the anatomy of the mouth and wanted to work in a care providing field. This fascination spurred me to attend ATA College in 2017 and become an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant.
I have been with Dr. Williams and Schiavone coming up on 4 years in May and since being with them I have been cross trained into dental insurance. The challenge, the growth, and the dynamic culture at this office has given me the most reward. I love being able to work with such a great group of people and I’m forever grateful for being a part of this dental family.
“Believe you can and you’re already halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Hi, I am Lily and I was born and raised in Guatemala. When I was 13 years old, I moved to New York City, NY then a year or so later I moved here to Louisville. Being originally from Guatemala, I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
Over time I became eager to help patients achieve a smile that is beautiful, functional and healthy; so, I decided to expand my education. I attended Medquest College and received my certification to become an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. In my spare time I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I love being in the dental field! The team I work with are not just my coworkers, but I consider them my second family.
